On Monday, Sir Lowry’s Pass played their first competitive games against Macassar in a mini tournament. Sir Lowry’s Pass managed to field two teams and Macassar had one team. Temperatures dropped and the rain arrived last week in the Cape. Consequently, a number of our coaching sessions had to be done indoors. The picture above shows our Lwandle boys acting out a scenario where they might have to work together as part of a team. This month’s Games Week was extremely successful. Our Macassar Netball team played against Helderberg College in a closely fought contest. The girls learnt a lot about about this month’s lifeskill Teamwork in this game and fought back hard in the second half to finish losing 6-5, which was very good after being 4-1 down at half time. We have been developing relationships with a group called His Ark, who are also working in Sir Lowry’s Pass, and this has given us an opportunity to coach around 20 girls Netball every other week.
