Impact Winter Holiday Club
During the first week of the winter holiday, the Helderberg Academy we had the priviledge of organising a holiday camp for 68 young people from Sir Lowry’s Pass, Macassar and Lwandle. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, there were 16 students from the U.S. who are training in South Africa with the Impact Course, who came and run the winter holiday camp.
We had a fantastic time learning about how we have to be ALL-IN. Over the three days we trained from 9am -7pm. Doing team building games, relays, soccer, rugby, netball, capture the flag, martial arts and lots more exciting games. It was a great opportunity for the Academy to intregrate and get to know eachother on a deeper level.
Thank you to all the players that came along and a massive thank you to the Impact Team that did such a great job of leading all the activities. It was a busy three days but everyone gave it their all. Everyone had an amazing time!!!
Also we had the priviledge of having a short term volunteer, “Big” Mike Locks. He came in and impressed us with some quality coaching and being fearless at it! We encourage short term volunteer to come through, because we can always use a few extra hands!
