On Wednesday last week, 41 children from the three different communities came together for The Crown Holiday Club. From 10-3pm the children played new sports in mixed teams containing children from each of the different communities.
The theme of the day was taking responsbility, so the children learnt how to take responsibility in Frizbee, Rounders, Dance, Volleyball, Rugby and Soccer. They also thought about how they can take responsibility at home, in school and in their communities. The children had lots of fun and learnt lots of new skills. Sam (9 years old) from Sir Lowry’s Pass, when asked ‘what did you enjoy most?’ responded ‘everything was so good, how could I choose one thing!’
