In July we ran our usual 2 day holiday club for the Academy children and young people, this timefocusing on Awareness. After weeks and weeks of planning – games, sports, story and more – everything finally came together in 2 days of joy, fun and learning. As usual, the last week of the month is Match week at The Academy. After a month of looking at Confidence in our coaching sessions it was time to draw together all they had learnt and put it into practice. The Academy has trained over 35 coaches over the 5 years it has been running, and has had volunteers from all over – so far from Egypt, Holland and the UK. We have had long term and short term volunteers, serving at the Academy from anything between 2 weeks to 3 years.
