Just before the end of term, we ran an inter-community games week. This is an opportunity to bring together players from different communities in friendly competition. Lwandle played Sir Lowry’s Pass at Soccer (pictured above), Sir Lowry’s Pass played Macassar in rugby and our Macassar girls played a local school team at Netball.
Everyone had a great time and it gave the coaches an opportunity to consider the next set of drills needed to improve the skills in each community. But, much more importantly, the young people had a great time interacting with those who are culturally different from them.
